RCB Development today announced the official rebranding and forthcoming redevelopment of Fairmount Shopping Center and Anna Knapp Plaza following formal approval by the Town of Mount Pleasant. The 56,265-square-foot neighborhood retail center on Highway 17 has been a Mount Pleasant fixture since the 1970s.
The Town’s approval of RCB’s renovation plans for Fairmount Landing marks a major revitalization of the long-standing commercial hub and allows RCB to move forward with a comprehensive modernization of the property aimed at improving appearance, functionality, and the overall tenant and customer experience. Key improvements include modernized facades and storefronts; enhanced landscaping and site design; new monument signage and branding; activation of patios and greenspace; parking lot and circulation upgrades; placemaking features and pedestrian improvements; and tenant improvement allowances for interior upgrades.
“Fairmount Landing has incredible potential, and the Town’s approval allows us to begin a thoughtful revitalization of this important neighborhood shopping center,” said Russell Canard, Principal at RCB Development.
