Westbury’s Hardware decides to remain at Station 888

Westbury’s Hardware ditched plans to build a new retail location across town and instead is choosing to keep their flagship location at Station 888 in Summerville.

The anchor tenant will continue leasing 26,000 square feet in the same building of their current store, while expanding into approximately 1.2 acres of laydown yard space. RCB Development is planning a complete overhaul of Westbury’s storefront, as seen in the rendering above.

Improvements at 888 College Park Road will include new landscaping, signage, exterior paint, parking orientation, and a modern glass storefront.

RCB is thrilled about this announcement and what it means for the future of the business park and growth along this corridor. “This deal is very complementary to Phase 2, which will include two retail buildings fronting College Park Road and a 7,500 SF warehouse in the rear”, per Kevin Hann, Director of Leasing at RCB. “This site is about to look completely different and will benefit a myriad of uses.”

Westbury’s Hardware is currently experiencing the highest sales volume since its inception, and their long term commitment to this improved development should continue that trajectory.
